Picture this!
Zheng Jie,2nd ranked Chinese Tennis player who stands at all of 1.64metres(which is depressingly,still 3cm taller than me...),partnered with Max Mirnyi of BELARUS this fortnight at Wimbledon for the mixed doubles event.Here's the catch.Mirnyi,who hails from the capital city of Minsk,is not exactly the tallest of Tennis players(Ivo Karlovic of Croatia owns that record:2.08metres),but neither is he the shortest,for he stands at a gangly,1.95metres tall himself!
How they even reached the semi-finals is beyond any comprehension.
I mean,Zheng speaks not a word of English(and most certainly not Belarussian or Russian as well).While Mirnyi has an adequate command of English,he surely cannot speak any Chinese to save his country from falling back into communism right?How on earth do they communicate on court??
And that height difference!Its like she's talking to his nipples half the time!
Oh how the love of Tennis transcends all boundaries,race,language and religion(ahha the last three is sounding conspicuously familiar huh)!
