Today i spent the whole day at home,feeling miserable and bored,and feeling very restless and uninterested in asking people to go out(see i am such a loser.no one asks me out ever haha).
And i hate feeling that way.You wake up sticky and yucky,face not washed,hair oily and all.And you remain that way for the rest of the day,because there is no need for a wash up at all.No visitors to the house,and no excursions to town.Hence,there's no incentive to freshen up at all.Watched MTV from 3 to 5 before i dozed off in bed again.
Then around seven,my mum called.
"Do you need dinner?"
I replied,"yes of course."
"What do you want to eat?"
"Anything?"
When she came home she really got me ANYTHING.Her anything=chinese mixed rice with shitty side dishes. Whereas i was thinking more along the lines of "anything mum,chicken chop,french fries,burger,anything,chicken rice maybe,or fish and chips with some whipped potato,anything but rice with side dishes the colour of my shit."
I ate two mouthfuls then i threw the whole thing away and cooked myself some RAMEN 100 Char Mee(the Myojyo one),which is my favourite instant noodles.
Enough of such boring details.
Anyway yesterday,i had a very fruitful day,okay not quite,since i woke up kinda late,so half my day was already gone by then,by as i was saying,it was a fruitful day because i went to the library at Esplanade and got myself some really good DVDs.
You would think it is free to borrow DVDs or CDs from the library right?But no,here's another one of my well written re-enactments to explain myself.
"Hi why can't i get this borrowed at the machine.It keeps saying item cannot be borrowed."
"Oh that's because you have to be a premium member for 21 bucks a year sir.Only then are you entitled to the DVDs,four at a time,same thing for CDs."
"Premium member?I've never in my life known you can be a premium member at a community library?Can't i just pay you 5 bucks for each DVD?"
"No."
"Oh okay,go and flush your panties down the drain then you *****."
Kidding.But yea,so bottomline is its not FREE!!And to think i found an alternative to the very expensive VideoEzy.No wait,actually it is cheaper than VideoEzy.I only pay 21 bucks as a one off fee and then subsequently the DVDs can be borrowed for no cost.Ok so that's good.But what's even better is....

Yes all this!I already watched The Way We Were last night,and i loved it so much.The last scene is iconic."Hubell,your girl is beautiful." Even Sex and the City cannot help but incorporate that line in one of their episodes..Of course,the theme song is even more iconic and significant than the whole movie itself.The song made Barbra Streisand a legend,icon,star and household name.It is just so beautiful and wonderfully sung.Streisand's phrasing is just impeccable!And a young Redford is also thoroughly good looking.You know who looks eerily like him?
Brad Pitt.Its not even funny.The blonde hair and sea-blue/green eyes.
So i was very happy yesterday.I wanted to get Marilyn Monroe's Some like it Hot.But Beauty and the Beast got the better of me so...haha,memories of my childhood.All these classic hollywood films really give me serious orgasms and yes,its not even funny.
Last Sunday i also got from the National Library Dean Martin's and Judy Garland's biographies.I'm a sucker for biographies because they're easier to read(i'm such a loser i tell you) and really,its not that i am cheapskate with this community library frenzy i am on but you just cannot find these things anywhere else in Singapore.For the DVds maybe VideoEzy but it doesn't always carry all the titles and for the books,don't even bother trying kino and borders,they're hopeless.
